WAU, 17 May 2013 [Gurtong] – Authorities in Tonj South County said the armed thieves broke into the Italian medical organization CCM compound at 10:00pm.
The thugs looted the electronic gadgets and made away with some cash money (hard currency) belonging to CCM.
“They have raped the woman, stealing 500 dollars, four computers, one digital camera and two Cell phones,” said Gordon Makuer, the county’s secretary for the South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (SSRRC).
The case was reported to the police station while the raped woman has been flown to Kenya for further medical attention.
The watchman at the CCM compound was threatened not to call for help or be killed if he attempted.
“The attackers had also contacted me on the stolen phone threatening to return to the hospital,” said Makuer.
